Amazon and SpaceX form an alliance to deploy rival satellites into orbit
Rivals in the satellite internet market, Amazon and SpaceX, have agreed to deploy satellites to assist Amazon’s Project Kuiper.
As Per Amazon Press Release on Friday, three deployment of SpaceX’s disposable Falcon 9 rockets are scheduled for early to the middle-2025. The financial details of the agreement were not made public.
As per the press release by Amazon, the utilisation of SpaceX’s rockets for these launches would enhance the company’s capability to facilitate the complete deployments of its own low-Earth orbit satellites. Who are slated to commence in the very first half of 2024.
Amazon additionally announced collaborations with Arianespace to have, United Launch Alliance, and Jeff Bezos’ aviation manufacturing business Blue Origin for as many as 83 deploys to carry almost all of its satellites used into the orbit.
